Welcome to High Tatras
High Tatras
are the smallest alpine mountain ranges in the world and
due to its marvellous scenery they are the most
attractive touristic destination in
Slovakia.
Numerous web pages are available to provide more detailed information:
Štrbské Pleso
is the highest settlement on the west side of
High Tatras (in the altitude ~1350 m). Štrbské Pleso was the
place of 1970 World Championship in Nordic events.
Easter is the "official" end of the skiing season in High Tatras
with still large probability to have
the good snow
and
skiing conditions on
the hills around the lake Štrbské Pleso.
Note : Although the wish of organizers is to have
the same nice sunny weather as year ago,
the weather conditions in High Tatras changes often rapidly.
