We recommend to reach Tatranská Štrba through the closest
international airport in Košice (~120 km).
There are
regular daily flights from Prague, Vienna and
Bratislava to Košice. The relatively small Košice airport
is served by three airline companies :
All three airlines use low capacity aircrafts, therefore the very early reservation / booking is highly recommended !
According actual needs, a coach transfer from Poprad will be organized to Tatranská Štrba.
We will hire one bus and several minivans/cars from Košice
airport to Tatranská Štrba and later back.
The price for :
| - bus with 48 seats | = | 380 Euro one way, |
| - minibus with 20 seats | = | 220 Euro one way, |
| - minibus with 12 seats | = | 150 Euro one way, |
| - car with 3 seats | = | 30 Euro one way, |
will be shared by the participants using this transport facility and will be paid during the on-site registration. Participants traveling by plane to Košice and planning to use the conference transport facility are kindly asked to specify this request by e-mail to bruncko@saske.sk as soon as possible. Please send the information with your flight number and arrival time also. Information concerning your departure with flight number will be also very much acknowledged.
You can check the already scheduled shuttles, and send us your requests as soon as possible.
The participants can reach Tatranská Štrba also by train. There are regular direct
train connections from
Košice,
Bratislava,
Prague,
Vienna and
Budapest.

Note : for the use of highways you need a vignette (toll sticker), which must be
attached on the wind-screen of your car. For 15 days the price is 150
Slovak crowns.
Private cars can be parked in the hotel's parking lots. The parking is free of charge.
