The 15th Summer School on Real Functions Theory

The Mathematical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava and Kosice, in cooperation with the Slovak Mathematical Society is organizing the traditional "Summer School on Real Functions Theory".

The programme and organizing committee consists of: J. Borsik (chairman), J. Dobos, R. Fric, J. Haluska. Local organizing committee: K. Stefancikova.

The conference programme will cover the topics: generalized continuity, differentiability, and integrability, structures on the real line as well as applications. Invited lectures will be presented by the following persons:

and 20 min communications by participants have been planned. The mathematical community is warmly invited to attend.

A book of Abstracts is to appear and will be available at the beginning of the Conference.

The Tatra Mountains Mathematical Publications journal is planning a special issue. This issue will also serve as conference proceedings and all contributions will be refereed as usual.

The Conference will take place at the Hotel Stavoindustria in Liptovsky Jan, September 6 (arrival day) -- September 11, 1998. The village of Liptovsky Jan (650 m above the sea level) is located within beautiful surroundings of the Low Tatra Mountains in the North Slovakia near the town of Liptovsky Mikulas (see map). It provides outstanding tourist conditions, swimming pool with thermal water and sauna and other attractions. The lodging in the Hotel Stavoindustria is comfortable and the place meets well the needs of a scientific meeting.

The total cost of the conference (including accommodation, full board, social events, and the conference fee) will be approximately 160 US$. More details (payment, travel connections, etc.) will be included in the second announcement, which we plan to distribute at the beginning of May.
