Workshop venue Scientific and social program of the workshop (registration, lectures, working groups, accommodation, restaurant services, welcome party and good-bye dinner) will be held at the Congress Centre of the Slovak Academy of Science in Smolenice providing large lecture hall and several meeting rooms suitable for work in separate groups. The Smolenice Castle is situated at the foot of Malé Karpaty (Little Carpathians) mountains, 60 km northwest from Bratislava. The Little Carpathians are a low, about 100 km long mountain range, situated in West Slovakia, covering the area from Bratislava to Nové Mesto nad Váhom. They were declared as a protected area under the name Little Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. Their south eastern part contains extensive vineyards and a very popular wine rout (Malokarpatská vínna cesta). Besides famous vineyards, the region is known by many castles or castle ruins.
