The 10^th International Helminthological Symposium will be held at the Congress Centre ACADEMIA, situated in Stará Lesná, a village at the foothill of the Lomnický Peak in the eastern part of the High Tatras. The Congress Centre (building on the left side of the images) is located in beautiful natural scenery surrounding by woods and meadowlands, and is also easily accessible (by car, train, bus, with airport in proximity of 15 km). The High Tatras are a central part of the Tatras National Park, the oldest and largest national park in the Slovak Republic. The High Tatras comprise 24 mountain peaks higher than 2500 m above sea level and are the only mountain range of an Alpine character in the Carpathians.
