International Workshop

TYROLEAN TRAVERSES

Programme of the Workshop

21.8. Theoretical lectures and speaches
22.8.-25.8. Rigging of the superlong tyrolean Velky traverz and pass it over the Zadiel Gorge
22.8.-25.8. Excursions and caving trips

The following topics will be covered in lectures and exhibitions:

Lectures, slide or video shows, gear demonstrations of all participants are welcomed. Access on the superlong tyrolean "Velky traverz" over Zadiel Gorge will be permited only after a presentation of the gear and method for traversing.

The Proceedings of the Workshop will be published after the Workshop and will be sent all accepted participants later. Please prepare your papers in English up to a begin of the Workshop (ASCII text on 3.5 diskette for PC is welcomed).

Language

The official language of the Workshop will be English. Lectures in other languages can be simultareusly translated. The Proceedings will be edited in English. Experienced French and German guides will be available for organization propositions.

Accomodations

The Student University Residence in Kosice will be available (10 US$ per person). On request the accomodation can be booked in city hotels (price for single room up to 30 US$). Modest accomodation on the caving base of Speleoklub CASSOVIA can be offered (limited to 10 persons).

The fee

The fee is 20 US$ for workshop organization and + 10 US$ for collective transportation to the superlong tyrolean "Velky traverz". The fee will be paid on the place only by cash (bank services are in city) in US$, DEM or Slovak money. The prices for the caving trips will be from 5 - 8 US$ per person (transportations).
