The apparatus is used to measure the compression strength of pellets, to determine compression strength of pieced materials, especially granules (green pellets) of ore concentrates and fired pellets. The pellets strength meter consists of mechanic and electronic parts. The destruction of tested material is realized between the jaws of moulding press. The upper fixed jaw is mounted in a deformation bearer, the sag of which is detected by tensiometer. The movement of lower jaw is derived from the gearbox of electric motor by the worm gear drive.

Range of measured strength: 0-3000a Number of samples in one series: 1000.

The apparatus is in form of prototype and it was tested in laboratory and operation conditions.
