The research of factors influencing the causal relations between the input and output values of rock disintegration processes allowed to find the functions that were used in the proposal of algorithms of optimisation of these processes. The constructed optimiser of tunnelling machines allows to change the speed of disintegration, operation life of disintegration instruments with parameters relating to the criterion of wear of instruments per meter in length of working depending on the properties of rocks of the progressing working face. The principle can be used for optimisation of rock disintegration in general, i.e. by drilling (geological survey, drilling of oil and gas wells, geothermal energy etc.) or tunnelling (full-profile tunnelling machines, bracket tunnelling machines etc.) and also for mining machines (cutter loaders, large-scale machines etc.).
