Technological procedure is based on the principle of oxidation of bivalent Fe into trivalent Fe in the indirect presence of immobilised cells of bacteria of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans. The regeneration stage is represented by a percolation colony filled with a bacterial film on a suitable matrix. This technology can be used in various metallurgic plants, which employ ferric sulphate as extraction agent.

The procedure was verified in the laboratory conditions.
