The apparatus is used for continuous measurement of humidity of loose material transported by conveyer belts. Characteristic of apparatus, description and function: Fast neutrons decelerated by hydrogen atoms create a cloud of slow neutrons, which induces radiation inside a detecting probe. This radiation is registered by GM tubes. The impulses from tubes are electronically processed into an electric signal proportionally to the humidity of material.

Range of measurement: 0% - 100%, accuracy of measurement: 0.2% of measured value. Radiator and detecting probe (4 GM tubes) are mounted on the same board, which is hanging over the conveyor belt during operation. The evaluation unit can be installed
