The Institute of geotechnics is an accredited organization for postgraduate education of students in the scientific course
21-32-9 Minerallurgy and environmental technologies. Postgraduate study is organized and provided by course of valid laws of Slovak republic. The study may be of internal (daily) or external form, in length of 3 and 5 years respectively. After the successful dissertation exams and dissertation thesis defence, the graduates are awarded by scientific-academic degree philosophiae doctor (PhD.).
Although the institute has no right to educate the postgraduates in the scientific course 21-04-9 Exploitation of mineral resources and geotechnics, three external supervisors (our employees) were assigned based on the co-operation with accredited institution (Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies, Technical University in Kosice) for this course of study.
