International collaborations
- Collaboration with Slovenia within the framework
of bilateral Slovak-Slovenian project SK-SI-00106 „ Selection of bacteriocinogennic and probiotic
lactic acid bacteria from traditional Slovak and Slovene cheeses with the
aspect to improve their hygienic quality“. Contact: Dr. Laukova.
- Collaboration with Institute of Animal
Physiology and Genetic, Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic, Prague on the
field of probiotics and prebiotics
effect on Escherichia coli under in vitro and in vivo in rabbits. Contact:
Dr. Laukova.
- Within the frame of Slovak-Czech research project
„Effects of natural compounds on bacteria in animal digestive tract“ we have tested aherence of bifidobacteria on mucine. We
have also realized the experiments with testing of MIC antibiotics to bifidobacteria. Contact: Dr. Kmet.
- Within the framework ECONET- Mycotoxin impact on animal nutrition done in
cooperation with INRA, Laboratory of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Toulouse, the
training of our PhD-student in methods of evaluation of immunity status of
animals with intake of mycotoxin contaminated
feed was carried out in Toulouse. Contact: Dr.
Leng.
- Within the framework of grant SK-CZ-01906 ČR
SR (Institute of Animal Production, Prague-Uhrineves,
Czech Republic) and Agricultural University, Poznan, Poland, we collaborated on
the influence of conjugated linoleic acid (cis 9, trans 11 C18:2, CLA) in cow milk and trans-
vaccenic acid (TVA) and CLA in rumen by oilseed
supplements, oils and different managed diets simulating summer and winter
feeding. Cooperation also incorporate experiments in vitro on artificial
rumen and batch rumen ciliate cultures to observe the impact of rumen
ciliates to CLA and TVA production. Contact: Dr. Jalc.
- Ciliates of the genus Troglodytella
represent a neglected part of parasitofauna of
great apes, attracting the interest not only of parasitologists
and wildlife veterinarians, but also of primatologists,
anthropologists and ecologists. The overall aim of the project is to
contribute to the knowledge about the biology of the ciliates of the genus
Troglodytella, their metabolism, role in great apes’ digestion and about the
ciliate-host relationship in order to evaluate the potential role of Troglodytella as a symbiont
(Grant Agency of Czech Republic, GAČR 524/06/0264). Contact: Dr. S. Kisidayova
- On the basic of long term collaboration with Institute
of Animal Physiology & Genetics, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic we have
solved common project regarding control and management of cell cycle at
female germ cells. The project is focused on a role of key phosphatases and proteinkinases
(cdc25B, cdc25A,Aurora A, Chk1 ...) at enter of oocyte into maturation stage during oogenesis. At
first, relocalization and activity of the
proteins were studied during resumption of meiosis as well as meiotic
spindle assembly. Actual experiments are focused on functional mutual
relationships of the proteins. Contact: Dr. BaranV
- In the framework of co-operation with Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine in Lisbon (Portugal) we are
working on characterization of lactic acid bacteria from the traditional fermented Portugal saussage chourico. We have isolated the strain S. equorum
SQPO5-44 which represents a new type of starter culture. Contact: Dr.
Laukova
- In collaboration with Rimonyx
Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Rehovot, Israel (project
SMIAG- Small molecular inhibitors of adhesion on glycosoaminoglycans)
we participate on development of new antiinflammatory
medicaments Contact: Dr. Koppel
