Slovak paradise
Slovenský raj (the Slovak paradise National park) - one of the "hearts" of
the Spiš region is a very interesting and attractive locality named Slovak
paradise. This beautiful natural reservation is hiding many canyons, rivers and
waterfalls. In a small area you can find a wide variety of fauna and flora
(2/3 of all floral species of Slovakia live here). Several "basic" names should not be
forgotten when you come here - Tomašovský výhľad,
Kláštorisko (the center of Slovak paradise with Carthusian monastery from
the 13th century), Suchá Belá, Sokolia dolina, Geravy...
Also worth seeing are the Dobšinská Ice Cave or the highest -
Závojový waterfall. To see through the Slovak paradise, give yourself at least 3 - 4 days, less time would surely not be enough...
