Social Programme and Tourist Information



The registration of the participants will be from Wednesday noon and on Thursday (full day) nearby the conference room in the hotel Rysy.

For all participants the lunch will be always in the hotel Rysy, where is the ACCW conference room. Each lunch and dinner includes also one drink: you can select the beer or some non-alcoholic beverage. For vegetarians, which are indicated in the registration form, will be special menu.

The participants will be have the breakfast in the hotel, where will be have the accommodation, the breakfast will be in the buffet form.

During coffee breaks (always in the hotel Rysy) will be coffee, espresso, cappucino, tea, mineral water, and biscuits.

Wednesday

On Wednesday the dinner for all participants will be in the hotel Meander.
The dinner menu will be following:

  • Rolled Cheese filled with creamed ham
  • Pork Cutlet with mushrooms, potato croquettes and vegetables
  • Cheesecake

    Welcome drink

    take place on Wednesday evening after dinner (approximately at 20:30) also at the hotel Meander.

    Thursday

    On Thursday the lunch for all participants will be in the hotel Rysy.
    The lunch menu will be following:

  • Cabbage Soup with sausages, bread
  • Haunch of venison with gravy and dumpling
  • Vanilla-pudding with plums
    •

    On Thursday the dinner for all participants will be in the hotel Rysy.
    The dinner menu will be following:

  • Soft Cheese with onions (Slovak speciality), brown rye bread
  • Potato pancakes with pork, sausage, red pepper, tomatoes, mushroom and chillies, bread
  • Sweet mashed potato pastries with nuts
    •

    After dinner in the hotel Rysy will be small unformal meeting, where will be to the drinks (special Slovak wines and plum brandy), cabbage filled with meat, potatoes and savoury biscuits.

    Friday

    On Friday the lunch for all participants will be in the hotel Rysy.
    The lunch menu will be following:

  • Mushroom Soup (Slovak speciality)
  • Spit-Roast with bacon, red pepper and onions, potatoes, bread
  • Apple strudel

    Conference dinner

    will be held on Friday in the hotel Meander at 20:00.

    Excursions for accompanying persons

    If there will be interest to organize excursions, we can arrange various trips into the region of High Tatras.

    Saturday

    On Saturday the lunch for all participants will be in the hotel Rysy.
    The lunch menu will be following:

  • Tripe Soup, bread
  • Pork with turnips and mashed potatoes
  • Doughnuts
    •

    On Saturday the dinner for all participants will be in the hotel Meander.
    The dinner menu will be following:

  • Hard-boiled eggs garnished with caviar
  • Filled chicken breast, potatoes, vegetables
  • Sacher cake with whipped cream
    •

    Excursion

    We are proposing two independent destinations into the Spiš region and into Liptov region for Saturday afternoon.

    Bus transport will be used.

    Your choise on the excursion will be done during registration.

    Area code: Dial always the full area code, such 051 for High Tatras town (town High Tatras represents several small villeagues as a Starý Smokovec, Štrbské, Pleso, Hágy, etc.). To dial Slovakia from foreign countries, access your internat ional carrier, dial 421 which is the country code for Slovakia, and the full area code.
    International call: dial 00-country code - area code - number.

    Public telephones can be found everywhere and accept 10, 5, 2 and 1 coins and magnetic telephone cards.
    The prepaid "telephone cards" are available at station kiosks, convenience stores, vending machines next to the telephones, etc.. The cards are available in values of 100, 200 and 500 Slovak crown.

    Emergency and Medical Services

    For police emergency, for an ambulance or for reporting a fire call 112. You do not need to insert any money into public telephones to call these numbers.
