First announcement
The Mathematical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Commenius University and Pedagogical Faculty of Matej Bel University are organizing the traditional
SUMMER SCHOOL ON GENERAL ALGEBRA AND ORDERED SETS 2001.
The conference programme will cover principal lectures by invited speakers and contributed presentations by other conference participants.
The mathematical community is warmly invited to attend.
The conference will take place in the recreational center of the General Credit Bank - Bankove rekreacne zariadenie (VUB) in Stara Lesna, Slovakia, from September 2 (arrival day) to September 8, 2001.
The village of Stara Lesna is located within beautiful surroundings of eastern part of the High Tatra Mountains, 2 km from Tatranska Lomnica, the major tourist center (see http://www.tanap.sk/tatranskalomnica.html). The place provides outstanding tourist conditions and other attractions. The lodging in the hotel is comfortable and the place meets well the needs of a scientific meeting. It provides accommodation in 2- and 3-bed rooms with a shower and a toilet.
The total cost of the conference will be approximately 150 USD which is to be paid upon the arrival. The amount includes accommodation, full board and the conference fee. For the accompanying persons the price is 120 USD.
